IF...
...discipline grew on trees, I'm not sure I'd be inclined to pick it right now. Classes and oral presentations are over. Four days left. Only one OSCE exam and a very large final standing in my way.
I'm just about as motivated to study as I am to watch NASCAR(sorry Dega fans).
School's out FOREVER. Group 31 for LIFE.

Bobbra Jeen
Even though it's 4 days away, this post has absolutely nothing to do with Christmas. Or maybe it does? A Christmas laugh I suppose...
On Saturday, my family took the traditional holiday trip to the movies. No, my hometown has not yet adopted a grand Continental Cinema 5 or a Rave for that matter, so we did what every other native of these parts does: hopped, skipped, & jumped one town over.
Before the movie started, I visited the ladies' room.
lady in the stall: "Bobbbrraa Jeeeen?" {12 seconds pass} "Bobbbrraa Jeeeen, is 'at choooo?"
me: {realizing she was talking to me} "No mam. This is not Barbara Jean."
lady in the stall: "It ain't chooo Bobbbrraa Jeeen?" {who is this lady?}
me: "No mam. I am NOT Barbara Jean."
lady in the stall: "Sorry, hun. I seen yer cowgirl boots and thought chooo was her."
Gotta love it. She scurried out before I could put a face with the voice. Sure hope she found Barbara Jean.

a random morning post
6am: wide awake with what felt like an elephant crushing my sinuses
6:30am: in CVS buying a Neti Pot

Caution:
-feels rather strange
-you may look ridiculous during the process
-requires some coordination
I must admit I made fun of Kristen for owning one of these, but hey, things change. I give it a 10. This little kettle works.
Currently doing: whatever I want
Finals are over. No more studying until January and I am ecstatic.
And very thankful. God is good.

meet group 35
Most of my closest friends & family aren't really a part of my daily routine. They know I'm in pharmacy school, but they have no idea what my day really looks like. And I guess I really don't know all the details of theirs. And that's ok. I have no idea what I would do if you told me to create a lesson plan for 7th graders or if you told me I had to plan an event for 150 guests. I'm thankful the Lord has gifted us all differently.
This semester, however, I've had the opportunity to get to know group 35. They get it. They know what it's like to spend countless hours studying and researching and to feel like there's still so much that you don't know. They know what it's like to have a heart rate of > 100 bpm before a test or oral presentation. I mean, at this point, they know how to treat a patient who has osteoarthritis, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, gastroesophageal reflux disease, community acquired pneumonia, influenza, depression, hyperthyroidism, diabetes (Type 1 & 2), deep vein thrombosis, pain, atrial fibrillation, myocardial infarction, migraines, and otitis media. Whew.
our second home, 3109
Yes, that's our semester in a nutshell--and even though it's been tough, these people have made it so worthwhile. We've learned so much about working together as a team and so much about pharmacy practice in general. It's been a blast, and I'm really going to miss them. If only we could take group finals.....
